May Goals + April Recap

May Goals and April Recap / The Geeky Fashionista

One full month of quarantine down! I’m still trying to get used to working from home everyday and having my whole social life put on pause, or more accurately, on Zoom. One good thing that has risen from all my extra time at home has been the ability to read more (as you’ll see) and focus more on my health and fitness. This month, I would like to continue to focus on both of those things.

April Goals Recap

1. Read three books – YES!! Not just three but FIVE books: Recursion, The Whisper Man, The Queen of Hearts, My Lovely Wife, and An Anonymous Girl.

2. Start logging my food – I started using the Noom app the second week of the month, and it has made logging my food (and weight) so easy! Just being more conscious about what and how much I’m consuming and becoming aware of  servings sizes/calories has been so eye opening! I’ve already lost 4 lbs this month!

3. Stretch every day – Okay, I haven’t done this everyday, maybe more like three times a week which is good but not quite my goal. My foot IS doing much better though!

4. Discover new recipes – Not as many as I’d like but I did find a couple and even made my own recipe! I’m super proud of my banana coconut walnut carrot bread and how PERFECT and delicious it turned out!

May Goals

1. Read six books – Last month my goal was to read three books and I nearly doubled that with five. I say, let’s go for that goal this month!

2. Hit 8,000 steps twice a week – With my plantar fasciitis getting better, it’s time to put my FitBit to good use! I still don’t want to push my feet too much, so instead of running, I’m just going to focus on steps. My Noom step goal is only 4,000 a day but I want to see if I can double that at least twice a week.

3. Lose three pounds – As mentioned in my recap, I lost four pounds last month and while I’d love to lose another four this month, I have a feeling things are going to slow down a bit and instead aim for three pounds. My goal isn’t to just lose weight quickly but to maintain it and if that means my progress may be a little slow, I’m okay with that.

What are your goals this month?
