I decided to once again start posting my monthly goals and recaps! The last time I did this was January 2018 so it’s been quite a while, but I really do think it helped me with accountability. Plus, I love making lists and crossing them off.
I used to divide my goals as either Personal or Blog related. Starting these up again, I’ve decided to just do one general list which will concentrate more on personal goals. I’m sure blog goals will occasionally show up as I have more time to devote and focus on it.
Currently, while I still enjoy blogging, with my full-time job and several personal and social commitments, it’s definitely been relegated to a hobby. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that either – I believe it’s important for one to understand their priorities. I think if I continued to put a ton of pressure on myself to blog, it would no longer be fun and would become an obligation or chore. As it is now, it feels like a nice treat I get to enjoy every now and then. Things may change later on, but that’s where I’m at now and I appreciate all of you who have stuck by me. On to the goals!
March Goals
1. Switch up my workout routine – For eight months I’ve been going to a studio called PlateFit that do 27 minute high intensity interval workouts all on top of large vibrating plates. You are pushed to your body’s limits in every class. I’ve absolutely loved it and have seen incredible changes in my body. I’ve never worked out so consistently in my life and my strength and endurance have never been better. It’s definitely a bit pricey though, and I want to concentrate more on cardio and trying other workout activities.
2. Plan two game nights with friends – I love playing games with friends! My friends and I used to do them nearly every week and it was such a great way to bond and have fun together in a low key (and low cost) way. My roommate is the board game king and I’ve bought quite a few new games I’m wanting to wanting to try out or introduce to friends so I’d like to make it a point to host 2 game nights this month at our place. It could be big or small group but I want to be intentional about doing it.
3. Have a date night with Luke – Speaking about being intentional… Luke and I see each other quite often due to church, community group, and how close we live to each other, but I still think it’s important for us to set aside time at least once a month for us to be together.
4. Plan my first visit to Disneyland – That’s right! I’ve lived all these years in California and haven’t visited Disney once! I feel like I’m the last Star Wars fan to visit Galaxy’s Edge and I’m looking forward to changing that now that I’ve bought the 3 Day California Resident pass! Maybe one day, I’ll even upgrade to an annual pass.
