This past weekend I attended WonderCon in Anaheim, CA. While a blog post on my full experience will come out later this week, today I wanted to spotlight the Urban Decay | Game of Thrones pop-up at the convention. The makeup brand, famous for its “Naked” line eyeshadow palettes (I own at least four of them myself) has partnered with the hit HBO show which is about to enter it’s highly anticipated eighth and final season.

Attendees at Wondercon had the opportunity to see the Urban Decay | Game of Thrones collection in person at their pop-up booth located on the Grand Plaza. I was lucky enough to be one of those people. Not going to lie though, I only stumbled upon the pop-up while checking out food trucks and, boy, am I glad I did. Once I noticed the booth, I quickly jumped in the (relatively) short line. I waited for about 10-15 minutes before being asked to enter my email address to be notified when the collection would be available. Inside the pop-up, the full makeup collection was displayed for us to view. My time was limited so please forgive me that these aren’t the best photos.

Each of the shades in the Mother of Dragons Highlighter Palette ($36) are named after Daenerys’ three dragons.
The collection even includes two intricately detailed makeup brushes! A large eyeshadow brush inspired by Jon Snow’s Longclaw ($28) and a flat eyeshadow brush inspired by Arya’s Needle ($28).
How GORGEOUS are these 20 shades in the eyeshadow palette ($65)? They’re divided up by four locations in Westeros – I can’t decide if I like the earthy neutrals of King’s Landing or the jewel tones of Winterfell best. And yes, the 3D iron throne is part of this palette!
The full collection will be available online at the Urban Decay website on April 14th to coincide with the season eight premiere. It will be available to purchase in stores May 2nd.
Those who attended the pop-up received this exclusive pin set. I was very impressed by the size and quality of these pins. I loved getting to see the collection in person but these pins really made the wait to do so even more worth it.
