There was so much going on, I dropped the ball this year and didn’t get my annual Christmas wishlist up in time. I’ve still had some people ask me about it and figured I’d still go ahead and post it as a sort of “Post Christmas” or “2019” Wishlist for any of those interested because I don’t know about you all, but I love taking a peek at other people wishlists! I think it’s a great way to get some insight into their personalities and tastes! I even like going back and looking at my own old wishlists over the years to see how my own tastes and interests have changed. This year, there’s definitely less of an emphasis on fandoms, save for a few standout pieces, and much more on everyday wardrobe items as I try to update my closet with new, age and size appropriate pieces.
My 2018 “Post” Christmas Wishlist
1. Classic Designer Bag
2. Comfy Clothes
I am ALL about the comfy clothes this year! Due to my health issues, I’ve gained some weight and curves and am deciding to embrace my new body with a new wardrobe that makes me feel good and confident! I used to wear a lot of formfitting clothing but now all I want is oversized everything! I just want to live in big sweaters, cozy cardigans, and leggings all day! I’m loving this simple black Adidas hoodie and black Calvin Klein sweatshirt – I feel like I could lounge around all day them! And for cardigans, I instantly fell in love with this one from Pink Lily Boutique. This super long one from Goodnight Macaroon also looks ultra cozy. For leggings, I would love to get in on the hype for the SPANX faux leather leggings and the Zella ones I hear everyone raving about. Other cozy items I’ve been eyeing all season are this tie-front button-up, this suede moto jacket, this cute dress, this North Face fleece jacket, and tunic sweater.
3. Boots
This is the year that I am finally embracing boots! Having lived in Florida for so much of my life, I’m a hard core flip flop girl. Even when I lived in NYC, I only had one pair of black boots and a pair of rain boots I’d wear when the snow was really bad. Now I’ve got a couple different ones and I’m actually making the effort to wear them and wow, they really elevate an outfit! Especially the over the knee boots! I’ve heard nothing but good things about the ones from Goodnight Macaroon and would love to own a pair one day. These Steve Maddens look pretty great too. And I think I may be the only girl to not only a pair of ankle booties and I’d like to change that. The two I really have my eye on are the Vince Camuto “Creestal” and the “Meet You There” booties from Red Dress Boutique! The Vince Camuto “Pevista” booties are also super cute!
4. Sneakers
A pair of Superga sneakers are one of my top wishlist items. They just look so cute on petite girls! I love the clean, minimalist look and the platform! I’d also like a pair of just simple black and white athletic sneakers – a classic pair from Adidas or Nike would be perfect. I also like in this super cool looking sneaker from Steve Madden – so simple but still unique!
5. Accessories
I’ve never been much into accessories in the past but I see now how they can easily pull together a look and take an outfit to the next level. Lately, I’ve been loving cozy scarves but what I’m really missing from my collection is a nice, chunky one like this Free People scarf. It looks like you’re basically wearing a blanket, I love it! Another great accessory gift would be a nice pair of sunglasses. I once had a pair of Kate Spade shades I LOVED but they were lost/stolen during Comic Con. Since then, I’ve just worn cheap ones. A pair I really like are these by Le Specs. The next item, a faux Gucci belt, seems to be a blogger staple and I’m on board! Lastly, are this SUPER cute Love Lariat necklace and these suede shearling slippers.
6. Beauty
There’s really not a TON of beauty-related stuff I’m really wanting right now as I’m trying to use up the stuff I already have. One thing I could use though would be a really good lash serum to get these short stubborn lashes of mine to GROW as I’m taking a break from lash extensions. Or give magnetic lashes a try. I also really want to try out the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation I’ve heard so much about. I was recently color matched at Ulta and apparently I’m “Cool Bone.” There are a couple lipsticks I’d like to try (like Tarte’s “Salt Lyfe”) but I just own too many to justify getting any more right now. What I’d really love beauty-wise would be a nice relaxing facial to take care of my winter-beaten, poor pore-clogged skin or a good mani/pedi.
7. TV
The major thing missing from our place is a TV. I have a small one in my room but, honestly, my iMac screen is larger than it. My goal is to get one for the living room so I can host movie nights and watch show out on the couch instead of just in bed.
8. Wool Hand Knit Throw
I can’t get enough of blankets and yes, I’ve probably been influenced by other bloggers to want this one in particular but it’s just so, so cute can you blame me?
9. Kitchen Appliances
I’ve got a fair amount of kitchen appliances – what can I say, I like them and cooking! Two things I don’t have but would like to own someday are a juicer (I’ve always wanted to do my own juicing) and an air fryer (for healthier cooking).
10. Small Furniture Pieces
I don’t have a ton of space in my place to play around with but I do have enough to be looking around at a couple pieces to update it with. I’ve really been interested in a Moroccan pouf! I love that you can stuff it with unused clothes and blankets so it doubles as a space saver. The gold, white, or brown leather one would be such a great room accent. I also love the look of a wingback chair. Something cute and comfy you can curl up in and drape a cozy blanket and throw a decorative pillow on. Finally, I love this unique white-dipped ladder from Anthropologie. It’d be so perfect for hanging my various scarves and blankets (and keep them away from the cats).
11. Box Lunch Exclusive Loungefly Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Elder Wand Handbag | $80 (SOLD OUT)
How gorgeous and AESTHETIC is this bag?? The sleek white minimalistic design? The gold accent hardware? The beautiful Harry Potter interior print? I’m SO in love and equally SO sad it’s currently out of stock. I’m definitely going to be keeping my eye on when it’s restocked so I can treat myself.
12. Columbia Star Wars Parka | $500 (SOLD OUT)
This is sold out everywhere but a girl can dream! These parkas are inspired recreations of the jackets worn by the cast and crew of The Empire Strikes Back. I’ve seen behind the scenes photos of these jackets and have always wanted to own one of these! I always thought that’d be impossible but Columbia made that dream now a closer possibility…at least some day. I couldn’t splurge for the original $500 price tag or the $800 people are now re-selling them for but maybe someday in the future! XD
