My 2018 Birthday Wishlist

My 2018 Birthday Wishlist // The Geeky Fashionista

I can’t believe it. I can’t believe I’m turning 29 in just three weeks (October 2nd). I’m cutting it a bit close putting out my annual birthday wishlist for it to be actually practical (sorry, family members!) but it’s still a blog tradition to share with you all the things I’m currently wishing for this time of year so here we go!

My Birthday Wishlist

1. Pampering Experiences

Self-care is so important and a gift certificate for a nice massage or facial will always be greatly appreciated!

2. Workout Clothes

I started doing hot yoga this year and it’s been so amazing. I used to only have one workout outfit because that’s how rare I would exercise. Now that I’m doing it almost daily (and drenched in sweat every time), having a couple of different outfits in rotation would be great to ease up on the amount of times I have to do laundry. Once baffled by, now I totally understand why an athleticwear subscription service like Fabletics exists. For some suggestions, I love the sports bras from Victoria’s Secret and the leggings from Onzie.

3. Skincare

You know you’re getting older when you’re more interested in skincare than makeup. Unfortunately, good skincare products usually cost a whole lot more than makeup. I’ve really been wanting to invest in some good products. At the top of my wishlist are the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peel Pads and the IS Clinical Active Serum. But if there’s one makeup product I’m currently loving, it’s the It Cosmetics Illumination CC+ Cream.

4. White Sneakers

I’ve been looking for a cute pair of white sneakers. The ones I’ve got my eye on are the Superga Cotu and Adidas Superstar sneakers. So simple and chic.

5. Buffy Comforter

Yes, I’m asking for a comforter. Yes, I’m definitely an adult. I’ve heard great things and hope it’s as soft and wonderful as it’s hyped to be.

6. Mamma Mia Here We Go Again

I’m a huge ABBA fan and saw this movie four times in theater (and would’ve seen it more if I could’ve). It doesn’t come out on Digital until October 9th and then Blu-Ray on the 23rd. Still, if one wants to pre-order the sing-a-long version with all the special features (I’m SO here for the deleted/extended songs and scenes), I totally wouldn’t mind waiting. I can’t wait to play this movie on repeat and feel all the feels and sing all the songs over and over again.

7. Lashfood

I love the look of full lashes so I like to treat myself to eyelash extensions every now and then but they can be a little rough on my short, sparse lashes. This product is supposed to help lashes grow fuller, longer, and stronger. Plus, it can be used while you have extensions!

8. Daily Harvest

I’ve been making great progress this year living a healthier lifestyle. Along with yoga, I’ve been starting my days with yummy and good-for-you smoothies. A lot of time goes into preparing those smoothies so I love the idea behind Daily Harvest! They have a huge variety of frozen ready to blend smoothies that you can choose to be sent straight to your door. So convenient!

9. Clothing

Due to my chronic illness, I went up a few sizes and no longer can fit most of my clothing. Instead of feeling too down about it, I’m trying to see this as a chance to clear out my wardrobe and update it with some new pieces. Jeans have always been tricky, but the Topshop Leigh jeans are my favorite. Mamma Mia has rekindled my love for flowy maxi skirts, and I’ve discovered midaxi skirts which are perfect for shorter girls like me. You also can’t go wrong with cute fandom clothing from Hot Topic, Her Universe, Design By Humans, and Gold Bubble Clothing.

10. Gift Cards

These are always a win! Especially when they’re from Amazon, iTunes, Etsy, Sephora, Hot Topic or Ulta.
