Okay, I know it’s now fall, but when you live in Los Angeles with it’s year round warm/hot weather, it can still feel like summer until November and even then… Just this past weekend the highs were still in the 90s! Crazy, right? I mean, I grew up in Florida so maybe not that crazy to me but still! Give me that sweater weather already! Until then, read on to check out my last “summer” outfit of 2016.
I’ve been working on featuring more fashion-related posts, and I’m happy to say I have some cute fall outfits I’m excited to share with you in the near future. However, before I do, I thought I’d share one last summer outfit. I actually wore this super simple white top + denim shorts combo quite a bit over the summer. I recently wore it over my birthday weekend near Palm Springs as well at an end of the year beach bonfire my friends threw in Orange County.
My favorite part of the outfit is my FashionIt Gold Striped Tote Bag. What I love most about this eco-friendly bag is how HUGE it is – just check out the photos! You can fit so much in it, it’s unbelievable! Also it is super light (probably because it’s made of 90% paper)! I hate it when bags are too bulky and already feel heavy on my shoulders before I even put a single item in it!
Another thing I love is how it evenly distributes everything you’re carrying so even if you’re holding a ton of stuff, it doesn’t strain your shoulder. I packed a TON of stuff in it for the beach bonfire and my boyfriend kept asking me if I needed him to hold the bag and normally for the amount of stuff I was holding I would say yes. But this bag was just SO comfortable, I didn’t feel any strain at all and was able to walk a mile or so with a huge bag of stuff very comfortably. Some might say the lightness of the bag may make it feel cheap because hey, it IS made of paper, but I’ve found no lacking in quality. Even with all the stuff I put in it, it hasn’t torn or broke.
I discovered this bag later in the summer so I haven’t gotten to use it as much as I’d like…yet. Even though it’s the perfect beach tote, I definitely plan to use it throughout the fall and winter. For one, it’ll be great for road trips – it definitely holds more than most of my suitcases and any of my backpacks. I can easily fit several days worth of clothes, shoes, my laptop, toiletry and makeup bags, snacks, a blanket – you get the idea. I also use it for shopping. If a cashier asks me “would like you like a bag for that?” I can just say “nope, I’m good” and stick all my purchases in my huge bag. Love it.
Anyone else still dressing like it’s summer? Or incorporating any summer trends into their fall wardrobe? I have the sweaters ready to wear. I just need the weather to warrant it. Or I could just blast the AC, light a fall candle, and pretend it’s cool enough to wear my scarves and cozy layers. Very tempting…
Does it feel like fall yet for you?
