Seven years ago, I attended Anime Festival Orlando and it jumpstarted my love for cosplay (even if I didn’t cosplay at another con again until years later). This convention holds a special place in my heart because way back in 2010 it was the first con I ever cosplayed, my first ever anime convention, as well as the first con I attended without any family with me.
This was such a unique con to me because it didn’t focus on any particular show (like the Supernatural or Buffyverse cons I’d gone to) nor did have tons of fandom celebrities that you could meet (such as at Mega Con, FX Show, or SDCC). It came at a time where I was really delving into anime during college. I was so excited about it, I wanted to show my love through cosplay like so many others. My mom and I made my Katara Fire Nation cosplay in just a day and I had SO much fun wearing it at the con. I met so many other fans and took so many photos – it was such a blast!
When I found out that I was going to be in Florida during the convention this year, I knew I definitely wanted to go back and check it out – and do some cosplay, of course! Back then, my first ever cosplay was Fire Nation Katara – this year, I was going to debut my Water Nation Katara cosplay – it felt very full circle in my head.

Today I will be sharing my experience at Cosography, a one-day cosplay convention that took place in Cocoa, Florida. Although this local convention was much smaller than the cons I usually attend, there was still a little something for everyone whether you were a cosplayer, photographer, or just a lover of nerdy things.

My final day recap of Star Wars Celebration Orlando! Having spent the first two days camping in lines and attending panels, I had not once stepped foot onto the main floor to check out all the cool exhibitors and vendors. I decided for this last day, I would don my Han Solo cosplay (minus holster and blaster) and finally check out out the main floor. I was expecting to go it alone, but there was a pleasant surprise in store for me!

Wow! April FLEW by!! It’s not surprising considering everything that happened in it! As a result of so much going on though, unfortunately, my blog has suffered a bit, and I’ve fallen super behind in posting (as you can can see from this post going up on the 11th instead of the 1st as usual). I also feel like I’ve all but disappeared from social media.
May looks to be even more busy personally with some HUGE life changes so I don’t think I’ll be able to catch up this month – although I certainly will try. I’ve beaten myself up a bit about being a bad blogger but I know real life comes first. Please bear with me as I try to balance everything and thank you all for reading!
Now let’s check out what goals I’ve set for myself!
In my last post, I recapped my first day of Star Wars Celebration Orlando. Today, I’ll be continuing on with my second day recap! While yesterday was somewhat of a disappointment due to not making it into the 40th Anniversary Celebration panel, that wasn’t the issue today. Learning our lesson, we easily made it into The Last Jedi panel.
Keep reading for all the day’s highlights (and one unfortunate low) and don’t forget to catch up on my Day One post!
I was planning to do just one Star Wars Celebration Orlando recap post but because of the sheer number of photos I took, especially on Sunday, I decided to split it up into three posts, one for each day I was there. This post will recap my first day of the convention which I spent pretty much doing one of two things: in panels or waiting in lines to get into those panels (or waiting in line to get a wristband to wait in the line for that panel…yes, that was a thing).
Despite all the line waiting though, the panels were amazing and well worth the wait for any Star Wars fan! Keep reading for my experience recap and be sure to check out my cosplay post from the event as well!
One of my favorite aspects of attending conventions is getting to see all the various cosplay! Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017 was no different from any other con with plenty of fun cosplays except, of course, they were all Star Wars focused.

Living in Los Angeles, I don’t normally get to see the drastic change from a cold winter to a warm spring. This particular winter has been a bizarre one though (hello, climate change!) with lots and lots of rain in LA resulting in much colder (and wetter) weather than you’d imagine for our usually year-round sunny city. I have noticed a return to warmer – and dryer – weather recently and hopefully it stays that way. LA people are just not cut out for the cold/rain – luckily I grew up in Florida so it doesn’t bother me.
The change in season brought more than just warmer weather and more sun, it also means a change in in our makeup and wardrobe. It’s time to put away those big winter coats and boots and time to start breaking out floral prints and pastels!

Wow, what a month!! I spent the first half in Australia and the second half working A LOT. Among all the work, however, were some really fun times including St. Patrick’s Day, my sister’s birthday, and Wonder Con! Expect to see some posts this month covering some of those things ^^
These last two months were a bit odd for the blog with so much going on in my personal life, but I’m hoping for a return to the old starting with this right on time Goals/Recap post. Despite a fighting exhaustion and depression this last week, I know God is working in my life and listening and answering my prayers. Things have been a bit overwhelming but it’s so clear that He’s got this, and I just need to let go of all my worrying and stress.
Due to being posted late, I only had two weeks to achieve my last set of goals but you know what? I nailed those goals! Keep reading to see how and to check out my April Goals!
As I mentioned in my Goals post, I spent the first half of this month in Australia! This was my first time visiting the Outback and my first time in several years traveling abroad so it was quite an experience!

I’M BACKKKK!!! After nearly 2 relaxing weeks in Australia, I am back in the good ol’ US of A! I know this post is going up late in the month again, but I’ll balance it with just 4 short, hopefully somewhat easy March Goals. But first, let’s see how I did on my February Goals – keep on reading!
