Okay, I know it’s now fall, but when you live in Los Angeles with it’s year round warm/hot weather, it can still feel like summer until November and even then… Just this past weekend the highs were still in the 90s! Crazy, right? I mean, I grew up in Florida so maybe not that crazy to me but still! Give me that sweater weather already! Until then, read on to check out my last “summer” outfit of 2016.
Coming straight out of a grueling 2-day cross country road trip from California to Florida, I kept my Christmas outfit deceptively simple thanks to the combination of stripes and sequins. While I do think it’s cute, I know I could’ve easily elevated this outfit to the next level with a gold statement necklace, a belt, or even some festive nail polish…oh well, maybe next time.

Makeup post and Get Ready With Me video coming soon!
On the last day of my trip to Philadelphia to visit my best friend, Colby. we decided to do a quick little Outfit of the Day video in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was a spur of the moment kind of thing so I was dressed quite simple, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to do a video with her before I left.
I’ve done three previous “Outfit of the Night” videos with Colby, but this was our first daytime video. Here is the post (with video) from the last time we were together – along with our friend Megan – right after I graduated from Florida State in May.
For Valentine’s Day, I kept my work outfit casual and comfy. My white, red heart sweatshirt from Wildfox Couture was perfect for the day and is easily the most comfortable top I own. To edge it up a little, I paired it with my BCBGeneration fanx leather pants along with my Vince Camuto boots and Michael Kors rose gold watch. I used thebalm’s Nude’tude palette for my eyes and my recently purchased Revlon lip butter in Red Velvet for my lips. Super simple, but I got a lot of compliments 🙂
Hey guys, so I did a second Outfit of the Night video with my best friend, Colby. Sadly, this is our (for now) last video together since I moved to New York City, but I’m sure there will be more in future can’t-come-soon-enough reunions!
Colby wore a printed top from Kohl’s and blazer from Forever21. Her leggings were, to my surprise actually from Bed Bath & Beyond! I didn’t even know they sold clothing there! I guess these go under the “Beyond” category haha. Her boots were borrowed from a friend and she completed her look with her Wet Seal watch, Kohl’s necklace, and my Forever21 earrings.
I let my newly purchased BCBGMAXAZRIA leopard-print blazer (isn’t it amazingggg???) be the stand-out piece in my ensemble and paired it with a simple black Forever21 cami, black BGBGeneration denim jeans, and black Vince Camuto booties. Accessories were kept to a minimum with just a Forever21 necklace. Bold red lips added a nice pop of color against all the monochrome.
For our last night together, we decided to go to one of my favorite spots in Tallahassee, 101 Restaurant. I really love the atmosphere there, they have amazing happy hour drink specials, and since it’s open till 2am, it’s great for a late night bite (especially if you’re like me and can’t seem to eat dinner between 6-8 like most people). I got my one of my favorite dishes, the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, which (since I’m a sissy when it comes to hot and spicy foods) sets my mouth on fire but yet I still love it, nonetheless. I also got two half-priced drinks: my favorites, the Champagne-tini and Peach Bellini.
Yay! Another tutorial video! I got a really good response from my first one and have recorded several others but for some reason never get around to finish editing them >.< For this second tutorial, I decided to do a night out look with a smokey winged eye and pink cheeks and lips. I also decided to show you what I wore when I went out with this makeup (sorry for how out of focus it is in the video). If you’ve seen my past videos, you’ll also notice a different background! That’s because I moved into a new place and have a new room now! I’m still trying to decide what poster to put behind me so that’s why there’s that big blank space on the wall to my left lol. I’ve spent quite an amount of time decorating my room over the past couple weeks so maybe one day I’ll do a little room tour to show it off ^^ But enough rambling, on to the video! Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments!
