My Life in 250 Words

Today I begin the “Blog Every Day in May” challenge from yesterday’s post (I know it’s actually the 2nd of May and not the first, but I’m cheating and doing this one instead – I’m counting it as my Throwback Thursday post lol :p). The first topic is “the story of your life in 250 words or less.” In order to do this, I wrote possibly the driest autobiography ever haha. Here we go…

I was born in Palm Bay, Florida on October 2, 1989. My family soon moved to a small city along the beach called Indialantic where I spent most of my childhood. At age 4, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. At age 5, my parents bumped me from kindergarten to first grade because I had complained about not being challenged enough. From this point on until high school, I was an overachiever and perfectionist. At age 13, my family moved into a house my dad had built in Merritt Island. After giving homeschool a try my freshmen year and not quite fitting in at my private school, I reluctantly enrolled into public school as a junior. There, I discovered my love of film and tv even if I didn’t make many friends. Not ready to part with my family, I enrolled to community college during which time my parents divorced, and my sister and I moved into an apartment with our dad. At 19, I finally left my family to go to FSU. Here, I at last found my niche of friends and got heavily involved in several extracurriculars. After switching majors twice, I settled on Retail Merchandising. It took some time to figure out exactly what I wanted to do with my life, but I decided that I loved PR, social media, and event planning. Today, I am living in NYC pursuing a career doing what I love and am graduating from Florida State tomorrow night.
250 words EXACTLY. I’m so proud of myself 😀
Now, excuse me as I go pack for my 5 hour drive up to Tallahassee 🙂
